Tiered Pricing is Garbage.

KC Payment Processor Tiered Pricing

There are two pricing models that processors generally use: interchange passes-though and tiered pricing.

Interchange pass-through displays the processor’s markup. It is transparent

Tiered pricing (sometimes called bundled pricing) is when a processor quotes three rates: “qualified,” “mid-qualified,” and “non-qualified.” The tiered pricing structure is expensive and riddled with loopholes and hidden fees that result in expensive surcharges and opaque reporting.

Interchange pass-through is better than tiered pricing and is the only pricing model that KC Payment allows processors to use.
